Supporting Big Green Egg UK in building a stronger digital presence, QliQ’s campaigns improved brand awareness and boosted direct sales at a 6% conversion rate, delivering a 2,400% return on ad spend.
Since 1974, Big Green Egg has enjoyed its global status as the leading kamado-style ceramic barbecue, selling their products directly to consumers through the brand’s website as well as through reputable retailers such as John Lewis and Chesneys.
Big Green Egg chose QliQ to support them in building a stronger digital presence, and to improve product awareness and direct sales through the website.
We created a multi-channel digital campaign encompassing Google AdWords (search), programmatic banner ads and YouTube ads. Ads were shown to individuals with high levels of expendable income whose browsing habits suggested an interest in home, garden and cooking.
To support these efforts, our team built a lead-generating micro-website containing recipes and engaging product videos. The micro-site also featured a competition entry form for collecting new customer data.
Programmatic and Search ads were launched, targeting both potential new customers and previous website visitors who left the site before checkout. The campaign performed remarkably from the get-go; new sales were generated through the website within hours of launch.
The campaigns helped Big Green Egg improve direct sales and gain signifant levels of brand awareness in a tightly defined audience group. In its first twelve months the campaign achieved:
